Back to Basics School of Etiquette, Inc. objectives are to challenge individuals to do away with the antisocial norms of today’s young American culture (gang violence, drug/alcohol abuse, school dropout, truancy issues, illiteracy, financial hardships} and much more. They should be ready to enter the workforce, which can be very competitive.
In conclusion, many young people have little experience with building social and life skills with etiquette. Good manners are not always taught or followed in the home environment. Some people learn by examples set by individuals around them.
Unfortunately, many are set by television personalities and programs (rappers, movies, inappropriate sitcom or realty shows). Often times children feel uncomfortable in new situations and people. Good manners /etiquette are equated with competence.
